THE HISTORY OF STRUCTURAL DEFORMATION AND METAMORPHISM OF THE QINLING GROUP AND ITS AGE ASSIGNMENT

In this paper, the tectono-stratigraphic method is used to approach the problem of the age of the Qinling Group. On the basis of an analysis of the history of deformation and metamorphism of the Qinling Group and in combination with the characteristics of its sedimentary formation and isotopic age data, the authors consider that the geological age of the Qinling Group is neither Archeozoic nor Paleozoic, but Proterozoic.
