Application in the survey of comprehensive detection in the survey of The Moxi Fault (Yanzigou-MoxiZhen Section)

    • The characteristics and spatial location of the Moxi fault (Yanzigou - Moxizhen Section) are studied in detail by means of UAV high-resolution remote sensing interpretation, large-scale geological and geomorphic mapping, seismic geological survey, high-density electrical exploration, shallow seismic exploration, and probing trough. The results show that: ①Since the late renewal of Moxi fault, it is mainly characterized by left-handed dislocation, with the dislocation amount of 39.5±0.5m. The displacement in vertical direction is about 6.1m.②The Moxi fault is a fracture zone about 50~60m wide, the fault plane is inclined to the west and relatively steep, the apparent inclination is about 75°-80°, and the buried depth of the upper break point is 50~70m. The active age of the Moxi fault is the middle and late Holocene. (3) The width of the latest active deformation zone of Moxi fault is about 30m, which is mainly manifested as fault trough, fault scarp, slope ridge and gate ridge on the surface. The Moxi Fault enters the research area from Bazifang, passes through Yuejinping, Nanmenguan, Maliulin, Baozi Village, Yanzigou Town, and the west side of Heping Village, and enters Caiyangping. It divides into two branches in Caiyangping. The western branch of the fault exits the target area through Xiangyangpo and Shanshuping to Ertaizi, while the eastern branch passes through Qinggangping, Fuzhugang, and exits the target area at Baiyangping before intersecting with the western branch of the fault at Ertaizi and extending southward.
