Abstract
Ecological suitability assessment is the prerequisite for ecological restoration and comprehensive land and space management of historical mine wasteland. In order to effectively support the transformation and development of resource-exhausted cities in the Northeast region, the Xi'an coal mining area in Liaoyuan Province was selected as the research object, and the suitability evaluation index system and model of different land and space development types were established by using the analytic hierarchy process, the ecological suitability was evaluated by the combination of index and limit condition. The results showed that the suitable areas for cultivation, forest, grass, fishing and wetland ecological landscape restoration were 6.28, 10.06, 1.13, 0.13 and 2.74 km2, respectively, and put forward 7 kinds of land space optimization measures, such as wetland ecological recreation area, modern agriculture and forestry planting area.
