Discovery of a cold-water fauna in the Mount Buka Daban area, East Kunlun

The authors discovered a cold-water fau na dominated by Monodiexodina in the Mount Buka Daban area,western segment of the East Kunlun Mountains.It occurs between the central suture zone and south suture zone of East Kunlun.The fossils occur in Early-Mid Permian strata consisting dominantly of neritic carbonate rocks.The strata can be correlated with the Jiawen Daban Formation in the Kongka Pass,Xinjiang,and the Toinlunggongba Formation,Tibet.
