Abstract: From the interpretation of colour aerial photographs, it is found that car- bonate rocks north of the Yin’ao valley display coloured anomalies. After exa- mination, a magnesite deposit was discovered. According to its characteristics and by analogy, magnesite occurrences were discovered one after another west of the Yin’ao valley.
